Celebration of life and happiness
Whenever you come to India you will come across a number of fetes being celebrated across the country. The Indian calendar is resplendent with holidays and festivals. The festivals can be categorized into national, regional and religious. From Id to Pongal from Independence Day to Diwali each festival is celebrated with equal joy and aplomb cutting across the boundaries’ of faith, caste and class.

Hospitality
‘Atithi Devo Bhava’, or the Guest is God, is the baseline on which the great Indian tradition of embracing and serving one’s guest lies. This centuries old tradition has attracted foreigners from abroad and made them fall in love with this country and thus, stay back. Be it the rich or the poor, as a guest you will always receive the best of everything from living to dining in a traditional Indian household.

Art and Culture
Indian art and culture because of its uniqueness, universality and variety has become the true identity of India. Traditional Indian music preserved in the various gharanas of Indian classical music has enjoyed parallel popularity with its western counterpart across the world. Traditional Indian dances like Bharatnatyam, Kathakali, Kathak and Odissi have a faithful global following. Indian literature, paintings, sculptures, handicrafts, textile designs have gained prominence in the minds and homes of people across the world.

Indian family is perhaps the most closely bonded family in entire world. The tradition of joint family has been replaced by the concept of nuclear families but people still maintain relations with even the most distant family member. Weddings, festivals, and small family gatherings, where the entire family unites, are an integral part of an Indian’s lifestyle.
