Germany’s intricate rural culture and custom that has continued over the years is still being celebrated with equal joy and aplomb. Christian and Jewish festivals also fill up the German calendar every year. Germans take great pride in their festivities, which are celebrated in a traditional way even today.

The conservative attitude of Germans has given way to popular lifestyle trends in the major cities and industrial towns where a considerable number of immigrants have moved in. Added to it the modern European trends of having children out of wedlock and staying single has also gone up. These changes however have their advantages. The traditional approach had many limitations and conservatism which has now lessened. For example women had a very backward position in society. In present times the number of German working women has gone up. This has also contributed greatly to the modernization of German lifestyle.
