The present way of life has come into being since the post World War II times. Owing to a rapid growth in urbanization then and a second phase around early 1990s, a large section of the Brazilian population has moved to urban areas in search of employment and better living standards. Close family ties have since then broken and given way to individualism. The festivities that are the hallmark of Brazilian lifestyle are held on a mass scale. This gives an ‘in your face’ state of the society to any outsider. Brazil has some of the highest crime records in the world which is a consequence of this impaired economic development.
On a more cheerful note, in spite of these negativities Brazil keeps topping the charts for being one of the most sought after tourist destinations of the world. People here cover the numerous hardships of life with a cheerful face. Brazil lives up to being the carnival capital of the world.
