Placing your bed:
The headboard of your bed should be placed against a wall. This will keep your energies and power from flying away.
DO NOT sleep under a window or a source of constant light. This will create bad energy or yang and also cause disturbed sleep.
Make sure you do not sleep directly opposite the Bed room door. In Chinese traditions and Feng Shui it is believed to be a disturbing sleeping position.
Your bed should be placed diagonally opposite the door. So, while designing your bed room place the door in some corner of the room. This is a maximum commanding position over your life energies or chi. Also; it will ensure a good night’s sleep.
Avoid mirrors in your bed room at all costs!
Mirrors in your bed room bring in bad luck, insecurity and infidelity. You will do better without a mirror. Alternately, if you have one then it should be covered or draped. This will prevent Yang.
When sharing your bed room with your partner
If you are sharing the bed with some one make sure the head board reaches a height of about half a distance of the wall. The side tables should be matching. This will ensure equality and stability in your relationship.
A strong and well built bed speaks for the close bonding with your partner!
Your bed room door and window should not face each other. Constant energy flow takes place between them. An easy get away for Yin.
Your bed side table or for that matter any furniture should have rounded edges. Sharp edges tend to cut through the Yin.
Choose light pastel shade o soothing colors for you bed room. It will increase the powers of yin.
